This site is only to inform about the possible programs Panamá offers. If you want to participate you will have to apply in your own national office in your country. On the top right is a drop-down-scrollbar with all the countries listed. Click your own to inform yourself about the application process in your country!

AFS Panamá offers the following programs:

AFS Year-School-Program:
The most popular of all programs! Come to Panamá, live a year in a Panamanian family and go to a Panamanian school.
We receive participants from both cycles in August as well as in February.
 
AFS Semester-School-Programs:
Come to Panamá, live six months in a Panamanian family and go to a Panamanian school.
We receive participants from both cycles in August as well as in February.
 
AFS Community Service:
Are you looking for international work experience? Are you interested in learning a new language while contributing to a community need?
Spend six months or a year working on a community project and living in Panamanian host-family (in very rare cases the placement is at the project).
We receive participants on both cycles in August as well as in February.
 
AFS Panamá University Program:
If you are from Belgium-Flanders, Hungary, the Netherlands or the U.S.A you can participate in the AFS Panamá University Program.
You will live one year in a Panamanian family and go to one of the Universities in Panamá studying a subject of your choice.
If you are undecided what to do after High-School and would like to find out more about subjects that you are interested in, this is the perfect program for you!
We only receive University Program Participants once a year in August.
 
AFS Panamá Intensiv Programs:
Young People with 16-29 years of age, from one of the following countries can participate in the One-Month-Intensive-Programs we offer in Panamá. Belgium-Flanders, Canada or the U.S.A

AFS Panamá Programs in Cooperation with Jamaica:
AFS Panamá offers the opportunity to Jamaicans to spend either a year in the University Program or a year or a semester, in either the School or the Community Service Programs in Panamá. In this case Panamá will also be Sending Country and therefore the student will have to apply with AFS Panamá.
